.ES domain names now free with a hosting plan
The list of the TLDs that can be registered/transferred for free with a shared web hosting plan has been extended with the addition of yet another popular extension – .ES!
The official top-level domain name for Spain – a country famous for its warm-blooded citizens and passionate flamenco, is open for registration to anyone and represents a great chance for Spain-related individuals and businesses to voice their specific identity on the web.
The standalone wholesale .ES registration price in turn has dropped by almost 40%.
Be competitive on a recently boosted domain name market
Just a few years ago, .ES domains were expensive and accessible only to registrants who had a connection with Spain. Also, the second-level domain had to be either a trademark valid in Spain; the exact name of the company or the association on whose behalf the domain is registered; or the first name and at least the first surname of the domain registrant himself/herself.
Thus, common words were practically unregistrable, which narrowed down the choice of attractive and competitive site names under .ES.
At the end of 2005, all those restrictions were lifted as a result of a multi-stage liberalization process, which widened the choice of .ES registrations and made the country-code TLD open to anybody worldwide. And, since most of the common words had not been allowed till then, registrants had a unique chance to grab eye-catching Spanish website names and they still have many attractive options today.

Registration details for .ES domains
Since the end of 2005, there have been no local presence or citizenship requirements for registering an .ES domain.
Anyone can register an .ES domain name for a period of 1-10 years. Also, if you have an .ES domain registered somewhere else, you can transfer it over to us, so as to keep your site(s) and domain name(s) in one place. An Edit Whois option is available too. As per the regulations imposed by the official registry, there is no option to enable ID protection for .ES domains.
How to enable .ES as a free domain option on your store?
.ES domains are included by default in the reseller hosting portfolios of those of you who have chosen to offer a free domain name with any of your shared hosting plans.
You can see the .ES extension listed in the Domain and Hosting Prices section of the Reseller Control Panel (under My Offers), which includes only the TLDs available for free with a plan. From there, you can also edit the profit that you will receive.
If you haven’t tried promoting your web hosting plans with a free domain name, you can do so from the Shared Hosting Offers section of your Reseller Control Panel. Just click on the name of a given plan and click on the orange Free Domain icon. It will turn green to confirm that the selected hosting plan now includes a free domain name.
