.RU domain names now available for reselling
As of now, all our web hosting resellers under the Free Reseller Hosting Program can now sell .RU domain names from their reseller stores. The default wholesale price for .RU domains is $27.50 USD. The .RU domain extension is the ccTLD for Russia, which is one of the biggest web hosting markets at the moment.
In order for one to register a .RU domain name, he will have to provide:
– the applicant’s passport number and date of birth, if the domain name will be registered by an individual
– a Reason for Registration Code and a Taxpayer Identification Number, if the domain name will be registered by a company.
Other than that, there are no other special requirements. The registration period for .RU domain names is 1 year. They are transferable but are not eligible for ID protection.
