Recent reseller cheque problems
Recently, our support team has reported a very high number of resellers who are having problems with their cheques. To be more specific, a lot of our free hosting resellers put their company in the “Company” field in the reseller details section, even if this company is purely fictional and not a registered business entity. Our system is designed in such a way that when someone puts something into the “Company” field, all the cheques are issued to this company. And if this company is indeed fictional, the bank will refuse to honor and cash the cheque. We have created a special reseller tooltip in the Reseller Control Panel, and added several instructional videos on the reseller sign-up page in order to prevent this. A note has been added to the reseller login page, too. The section dedicated to Company and Personal names starts at 1:10 (for those of you how want to skip the first minute). In a few words, if you don’t have a real, registered company, leave the company field blank to avoid any possible problems. Also, don’t forget to make sure that all information in the Reseller Details This issue concerns only those who have selected the Cheque payment method for their reseller commissions. So far, there are no reported problems with PayPal and Bank payments.
