Latest News, The Free Reseller Program

As of last week, the hosting resellers under the Free
Reseller Hosting Program can sell
OpenVZ Virtual Private Servers in addition to the 3 VPS packages we’ve had so far. In order to do so, all you have to do is enable the OpenVZ packages from the My Offers section in the Reseller Control Panel and set custom prices for them.
What is the difference between our OpenVZ and Virtuozzo Virtual Private Servers?
The main difference between our OpenVZ virtual servers and our
Virtuozzo virtual servers lies in the virtualization software – OpenVZ is free software, whereas Virtuozzo is commercial software. The advantage of the free OpenVZ software is that we can offer lower prices, since there are no licensing fees to cover.
OpenVZ advantages
Since OpenVZ is free and open-source software, our developers were able to modify it a bit and integrate it better with our system. This is why we can offer 10 OpenVZ packages with features similar to those of the Virtuozzo VPS plans. Also, thanks to the open-source nature of the OpenVZ virtualization platform, we were able to better integrate our
Hepsia Control Panel, which is available for free with all OpenVZ-based servers.
OpenVZ availability
For the moment, the OpenVZ plans are available to all resellers who are using our
turn-key website templates or the
remote forms. The OpenVZ plans are still not available to resellers using the API, but our developers are working to fix this.
