LiquidNet Ltd is now an Accredited Channel Partner of the official .UK registry
We’re happy to let you know that we are among the few registrars to get a top-tier accreditation with Nominet – the official .UK registry.
According to Nominet’s new classification of .UK registrars, we are now listed under the Accredited Channel Partner tag – a privilege bestowed upon Nominet registrars who meet the highest service level standards in .UK domain management.
What does it mean to be an accredited channel partner?
The newly achieved Accredited Channel Partner status with Nominet means that we now have exclusive control over .UK, .CO.UK, .ORG.UK and .ME.UK domain registrations.
This means that Nominet have put their trust in us and that we can take an active part in the .UK domain registration and management process, instead of relying solely on their support services.
Now LiquidNet Ltd steps on the .UK scene as a registrar, which has the full potential to serve .UK registrants on its own.
Not only is it a great honor and obligation being an accredited channel partner, but it also serves to further reassure registrants (your customers) that their domains are in safe hands.
How shall we act as an accredited channel partner?
As an accredited channel partner, we have to meet very strict criteria for handling .UK registrations. This includes the implementation of a more accurate system for registrant data submission and of manual procedures for verifying data that has failed Nominet’s automatic validation procedure.
We’ll be now contacting registrants personally, informing them that non-verified data needs to be further validated by us. The registrants will be asked for assistance in completing the validation process. They will have to provide documentary evidence (a utility bill or a similar document) that the data is reliable.
As per the tag’s requirements, we’ll be empowered to suspend domains that have not been validated within 30 days of receiving a notice from Nominet.
As an accredited channel partner, we’re now also able to change the ownership of any .UK. .CO.UK, .ME.UK or .ORG.UK domain for free. Previously, this service was handled directly by Nominet and incurred £10 + a VAT fee.
So, if you need to change the registrant info associated with your .UK domain(s), simply submit a ticket from your Web Hosting Control Panel and we’ll be glad to help.
The new top-tier Nominet accreditation is a great responsibility, which involves lots of hard work on our end. However, it pays off knowing that you and your customers can communicate with us directly when it comes to keeping .UK registrant data always accurate and up to date.
