Less than a month after .EU became free with shared web hosting plans, we have a new surprise for you – as of today, .DE will also be available for free with our shared web hosting plans.

.DE domain names are free with all our predefined shared web hosting plans – the Starter, the Business, the Corporate and the Enterprise plans, as well as with all custom web hosting plans featuring the free domain name option. This way, new customers will be able to choose a domain name from among the following TLDs: .com, .net, .org, .us, .biz, .info, .eu and .de.

The wholesale price for .DE domains is the same as the wholesale price for the other free domain names – $6 USD.

.DE is the most sought after country-code TLD in Europe, beating .UK and .NL, which come in second and third place, respectively. Globally, it takes second place just after .COM in terms of domain registrations, making it extremely popular.

There are no special requirements for .DE domain registrations, but the registrant must provide an administrative contact address in Germany.
