.COM.AU TLD released today!

Remember all our promises about the Australian domain TLD? Well, after several months of negotiating with other registrars, setting up accounts with them and working on implementing their API into our existing order and domain forms, we have finally succeeded into bringing the .COM.AU TLD to all our clients and resellers! Like most country-code domain names, the .COM.AU TLD must be purchased for a minimum of 2 years. Other registration requirements state that the registrant contact must be located in Australia. All Whois modifications will not be carried out in real time, but first sent to the Australian registry and only then reflected online. Domain names under this TLD cannot take advantage of the Registrar Lock and ID Protection services that we provide. Also, all WHOIS modifications for the .COM.AU TLD will not be carried out in real time – they will have to be sent to the Australian registry first, since they are responsible for the WHOIS online availability. Another thing domain owners should have in mind is that the .COM.AU TLD will never enter into a Redemption Grace Period (RGP) or a Pending Delete period. Approximately 30 days after the domain expiration, the domain will become once more publicly available, which is why careful monitoring for the domain expiration date is required. The domain name can be purchased from any of our free store templates, our remote order forms, the web hosting control panel or your reseller control panel. The price for the .COM.AU TLD can be edited from the Domain pricing section of the Reseller Control Panel, the Set Prices tab.

And we don’t plan on stopping here – very soon ORG.AU, .NET.AU, .ID.AU and .ASN.AU will join our ever expanding TLD collection!
