In our blog, we’ve already covered how to add your website, based on one of our turn-key frontstore templates, to your Google Analytics account.
Today, we will take a look at another service that Google is offering – Google Webmaster Tools.
It’s really easy to set your website to work with Google Webmaster Tools – when adding it, choose the meta tag option (it should be the last one).
Google will show you the meta tag you need to use in the following format:
< meta name=”google-site-verification” content=”AL1ywuKbRz2z5LZmWp4-7pdnlOD56RU3H3LlH6t-B-k” / > From this meta tag, copy the code after content=, in our case: AL1ywuKbRz2z5LZmWp4-7pdnlOD56RU3H3LlH6t-B-k.
With this code at hand, open your Reseller Control Panel and go to the Metatags tab located in the Marketing Tools section.
In there, you will have to scroll down a bit and you will see a field labeled ‘google-site-verification’.
Enter the code there and click Submit.
Then, click on the Quick Template Update button and you’re done – now your template is ready.
At the Google Webmaster Tools website, you can now verify your website – the check is almost instantaneous.
Once it finishes, Google will start gathering data for your website.
