How to set Google Analytics with the frontstore reseller templates?

This question recently popped in our Facebook page and it became clear that most hosting resellers don’t know how to set Google Analytics with their frontstore reseller templates.

It’s quite easy – here is how it’s done. Open your Reseller Control Panel and navigate to the Marketing Tools section.

By default, it will open the Header tab, which is the one we need.

There, at the bottom, you will see a Custom HTML area where all you have to do is paste the code Google has provided you with, filling in your custom website ID.

If you are using a custom banner, flash intro, or simply a custom text, don’t worry, you will not lose them. You will simply have to add them to the Custom HTML area.

It’s very simple: – for custom headers – you will see the following code snippet : < img src= ‘ /upload/97258_header.jpg ‘ >.

It’s located just above the Custom HTML area. Simply add it in the field, before the code from Google and you are done. – for flash banners – just as with the custom header, use the code after “Flash Code:”. – for custom text – here you can simply enter the text you want to use.

If you have any HTML skills, you can also format it the way you want, using HTML tags.

And there you go. Once you are done, hit the “Quick Template Update” button and the changes will be reflected on your site.

Now all you have to do is wait for Google to acknowledge your changes – you can force the update from your Analytics page.
