sFTP stands for Secure File Transfer Protocol and means that files will be transferred via an encrypted connection to the server. If a customer wishes to use sFTP, he must have active SSH access – it’s an upgrade feature for most of the shared web hosting plans offered through our reseller hosting program.
The required port for secure file transfers is 2222, instead of the standard FTP port – 21. The sFTP password is the same as the SSH password.
If a customer experiences problems with his sFTP connection, our support staff will be happy to assist him.
