For more than an year now, our main USA data center has been Steadfast, located in Chicago. However, we still keep several servers in our previous data center, Peer1 in Fremont, California. And we have good news for all the users, how are located on our servers there – we have plans to move all web hosting accounts on these servers to a new, more advanced cloud web hosting platform.
Our new cloud web hosting platform is developed completely in-house and offers a more balanced hosting environment. It will also guarantee faster execution and site loading speeds.
As the servers in the Peer1 data center are already full, and since there is no more space in the data center for new servers, we will have to move all accounts to a new data center. We were in talks with a data center in Las Vegas, but a deal was never reached. This is why we will move the accounts to our Chicago data center.
Our administrator team is working close with our CTO on a schedule for the account migration and the server setup. They have set an end date for the process – the current plans are that everything must be transferred by the end of January 31st, 2013 (if the mayans were wrong and there is a 2013). As soon as we have more news on the subject, we will let you know via our blog. Account owners will receive a news in their control panels.
