For Reseller Novices : How To Quickly Set Up Your Reseller Hosting Store

Following our last week’s post, where we explained in detail what exactly the Free Reseller Program refers to and how it works, today we will guide you through the steps of setting up your own unique reseller hosting store from the Control Panel that we provide.

If you have already gone through the reseller sign-up procedure, you must be now browsing through the Reseller Control Panel sections, wondering “How do I set all this up? How do I make money of it?”. Well, making good money by reselling hosting is not that far down the road, but first you need to set things up. Let’s go to the Quick Controls menu, located in the top left corner of the Control Panel:

This menu is the place from where you can quickly and easily edit some of the main settings for your reseller account. Let’s start with Store Name & Store Brand:

The store name and store brand will play an important part in your online store(s). The Store Name will identify your store in our system and will be featured in your default store URL (e.g moneyzilla.duoservers.com) that we set for you free of charge. The Store Brand, in turn, will represent the name of your hosting company and will be displayed on your store and on all store-related documents, including order and Thank You pages, invoices, service notifications, etc. We strongly recommend that you choose store and store brand names that are representative of your hosting business and will contribute to increasing your brand awareness among customers. If you have your own company already, you can use its name here, this way making your already existing brand reputation work for your web hosting business. The seconds store set-up step will allow you to change the default currency for your store and the payment method for your reseller commission. You can choose between USD, AUD, CAD, GBP and EUR. Another very important section for the initial reseller store set-up is the Front Store Settings section. There you will have to pick the template you will be using for your storefront. Each template can be later modified by setting your own header and footer banner ads and changing the index page promo areas up to your marketing taste. When making any modifications to the templates, don’t forget to use the Quick Template Update button, located in the upper right corner of the Reseller Control Panel. At the moment, the templates are cached on the server, in order to provide faster loading times. When using the Quick Template Update option, all template changes will be reflected online immediately. The rest of the reseller store set-up menus will provide additional options for the initial setup of your store(s), such as Error Trap page, or Default Data Center location, and you can read more about them and what they represent in our Reseller Support and Tutorials sections. There you can also find a lot of useful information on each of the sections in the Reseller Control Panel and what they do for the success of your hosting business.
